With the help of digital assistance, Rez has a couple of python scripts that will scrape massive swaths of the maps.secondlife.com api and combine the collected (and cached) tiles into giant compiled maps.

These giant images are then shrunk and chopped to make multiple sized / quartered images per curated map.
